Quick Pic: Helvetica Eggs

Helvetica, a typeface developed in the 1950s and with its own feature-length documentary, is the official typeface of the NY transit system. There is a great article about the relationship between the two here. As it’s coming up to Easter, I wanted to share this lovely how-to on making an Easter egg tribute to the subway design. I dedicate this post to my friend Chris, who was so inspired by the pathetic Easter tree I made when he came to stay with me a few years ago that he’s gone on to make his own much better ones every year since. [Photo from here.]Tweet
