Penelope Paws has an Etsy shop filled with bright, beautiful prints inspired by some of our favorite fandoms, including Big Hero 6, Doctor Who, and Studio Ghibli. I especially admire the way she's kept her pieces just abstract enough to blend into practically any interior décor. I've always felt like artists who perfectly recreate the subject of their fandoms are missing the point. If I wanted a literal image of Princess Mononoke, I would just buy a movie poster, you know?
