"A Gotham Fairytale" is an original Batman animatic comprised of over 200 black and white illustrations set to the powerful rock anthem “Knights of Cydonia” by the British band Muse. The story depicts a little girl’s dark interpretation of the fairy tale her grandmother tells her in an effort to assure her that she does not have to be afraid of monsters. It is in the little girl’s imagination that we are transported to Gotham City where a singular Brave Knight is called to ride out and rescue a princess.
Short but very atmospheric, this piece is stirs up memories of Batman: The Animated Series (whose cast and crew Abril dedicates his work to) and a desire to see a new animated Batman movie on the big screen.

"A Gotham Fairytale" is my original Batman story done as an animatic to Muse's "Knights of Cydonia." Composed of over 200 black and white illustrations, it depicts the dark imagination of a little girl as she's listening to a bedtime fairytale told by her grandmother.
This project is a personal labor of love and not intended for commercial use. It is a tribute to the spirit of the Batman mythology and the awesomeness of the music of Muse. All characters, elements and music are copyrights of their respective owners."
