All the Reddit caption says is, "My husband built a 3ft model of The Iron Giant." In the comments, the users explains that her husband shaped the sculpture out of MDF and PVC pipe on a lathe. "After he made each part he then made a silicone mold (sometimes with fiberglass jacket) He then cast up the entire thing in resin and added pins and joints so it could be possible. "
I wish there were build photos or a video. I think I would have learned a lot from this process.
