Featured Site: Pixelapse

"Pixelapse" by Min Ming Lo

Pixelapse is a platform designed to be for designers what Github is for programmers.  The service was founded on a philosophy Open Design (complete with its own manifesto) in which designers would be willing to share, not just their polished work, but their inspiration, their process, and even their source files with the community.

Lo argues that the thing holding back the Open Design movement is that it isn't backed by a large-scale platform yet.  So his team has chosen to open Pixelapse, which allows users to share their design process on unlimited public projects.  Those with existing private accounts—starting at $15/month, can choose to share none, part, or all of their projects with other users (rights can still be protected on these projects, or not).
