Short Film: Silo

"Silo" is a comedy about a lonely nuclear engineer, which drew an enthusiastic response from a large crowd at the Brooklyn Bridge as part of BAM’s Movies with a View series back in July.  The film tells the story of a nuclear engineer who lets his hobby sidetrack him from his job.

Writer and director David Soll, who produces political ads as his day job, funded Silo through a successful Kickstarter campaign.  He shot the film on location in a decommissioned Cold War-era missile silo located in Adirondack State Park, New York.  You can check out photos of the amazing interior of the silo, which has been decommission and remodeled, at MissileBases.com.  You can read more about Soll and the project at the Hollywood Reporter.
