Short Film: Expo

"Expo" Directed by Joe Sill

This short film suffers from some of the most common shortcomings of a student film, including a heavy handed musical score, hokey space suits, and some amateur acting, but for a first time student director, the film has a lot to recommend it.  The film tells a powerful story based on a great premise.  Plus, its sets exceed all expectations for a student film.

In Expo, a space miner finds herself reluctant to return to Earth after a two year stint on the Moon earning the money she needs to pay her daughter's medical expenses.
"EXPO is a science fiction short film that delves into the heart of a mother's interplanetary sacrifice for her daughter."
