"Among the Stars" by Joel Johnston
This heartfelt science fiction film is the last broadcast of the captain of a ship adrift in space. It's very simply presented. The majority of the video is simply an actor address the camera, but the visual effects involved in the space shots must have taken days to render. It's a nice piece, if a bit melodramatic. It feels like the director was attempting to re-create the emotional impact of the conclusion of Sunshine.
