The AV club calls it "incisive satire" (while comparing it favorably to Entourage).  Some people from the real Silicon Valley are not altogether happy about it, but Silicon Valley might have the last laugh.  HBO has posted the first full episode up on Youtube.

Pakistani Artists Target Drone Attacks: A group of art activists inspired by French photographer JR have installed the giant poster of a child orphaned by US drone attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The project, called “#NotABugSplat,” is meant to be seen by future drones flying over the area.
